Carhub LLC is NOT a government agency and operates independently from the DMV. This website was developed independently of the DMV. It's procedures, processes, required documentation, and customer communication may differ from the DMV.

Fees for Our Services
As a DMV licensed partner under the DMV's Business Partner Automation Program "BPA" we may charge Our customers Fees for services which include processing vehicle registration or title transfers, issuing registration cards, license plates and stickers, among others services. The "Processing Fee", as shown at the check-out page of this Website, is for the service(s) provided by Us per California Vehicle Code 1685. Processing Fees charged to our customers covers Our cost of doing business which includes fees charged to Us by the DMV and our BPA First Line Service Provider. By using Our service You agree to pay any stated Processing Fees by Carhub for services provided in addition to any additional courier service costs and convenience charges. These fees are non-refundable once Your order is complete with the "DMV".
Credit Card Submission
Upon submission of Your vehicle and credit card information, We will charge Your credit card for the agreed amount and either, fully complete the registration process, or set a Report of Deposit of Fees (RDF) with the DMV. In order for You to receive Your DMV documentation, You must pay the fees due and provide a digital or hard copy of any and all items required by the DMV to complete Your order. Our processing fee is non-refundable should You fail to provide any items or identification requested by the DMV. Should You fail to provide any requested items required by the DMV, We will refund the transaction amount to Your credit card less Our processing fee.
Refund Policy
ALL SALES ARE FINAL once We have transmitted funds on Your behalf to the California Department of Motor Vehicles (CA DMV), no cancellations, refunds or returns will be accepted. DMV Fees, vehicle license fees, parking/toll violations and sales tax are non-refundable by Us once such fees have been transmitted and are in possession with the State of California. We usually transmit fees to the CA DMV immediately following Your payment submission. If You dispute the amount of DMV fees transmitted on Your behalf to the CA DMV, You must contact the CA DMV directly at 800-777-0133 to resolve the amount of disputed DMV fees. We do not set or control the amount the CA DMV charges or collects. We are not responsible for incorrect information provided to Us by You or by others on Your behalf.
If We fail to provide the services herein; or if we process Your transaction incorrectly, You may request a refund, not to exceed Our service fee. Such refund will be credited back to the credit card that was originally used by You within five days of Our acceptance to issue said refund.
Electronic/Digital Signature Consent
In accordance with The Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN), You consent and agree that by accepting these Terms of Use, You are electronically/digitally creating and providing Your "signature mark" for the use and acceptance by Us and/or the California DMV on any application, form, document, disclosure or agreement necessary to process Your registration transaction. Upon Your request, You are entitled to receive copies of any or all electronically/digitally signed items used in connection with Your registration transaction. You have the option to not have Your signature(s) accepted electronically/digitally on any item by completing and submitting such item in its original paper copy, digital upload or facsimile copy to US. We will rely solely on the information submitted by You, the User, for the completion and acceptance of such item(s) and We are not responsible for any misuse, errors, omissions or third party submission of any application, form, document, disclosure or agreement submitted by You, the User, or any third party submitting information on Your behalf.
Required Information from You
You agree that in order to Process Your order and for you to receive the current California Registration Certificate, Registration Sticker, and/or New California vehicle title You may be required to supply additional forms and documentation. If such information is not provided in a timely manner your transaction amount will be refunded less any Processing Fees charged by Us. In order to process a California vehicle transfer We require You to submit the original vehicle title to Us. We must receive the original title no less than 10 calendar days from the date of the vehicle sale.
In order to process Your registration renewal we require You to provide, via digital or hard copy, at least one of the following current or previously issued items: California Vehicle Registration Notice; California Notice of Delinquent Registration; California Notice of Incomplete Registration; California Vehicle Registration Card; or California DMV Form 156 (Sections A,B &D) and any other documentation required by the DMV. Additionally, the "DMV" may require further documentation, including but not limited to, satisfactory proof of current vehicle liability insurance and/or proof of a current vehicle smog inspection report on file with the "DMV". We will accept these additional required items, via digital copy or hard copy.
Failure to Provide Requested Information
After 10 calendar days of setting the Report of Deposit of Fees (RDF) with the "DMV", should You fail to provide all required, additional information needed to complete full registration renewal for the vehicle presented herein by You. We will mail Your RDF to the address You provided. In order for You to receive a valid vehicle registration certificate for the vehicle presented herein by You, You must provide any additional items required by the "DMV" to us or directly to the "DMV". We assume no responsibility for obtaining and providing these required items to the "DMV".
Guarantee/Delivery Policy
If You have selected to have Your vehicle registration renewal processed for express delivery, You must first comply with all of the following requirements:
1. You must successfully complete and submit all information contained in this Website.
2. Submit to Us for payment, all required fees and penalty assessments associated with the vehicle’s registration.
3. Submit to Us for payment, the required costs for express courier service.
Provided You have complied with all of the aforementioned requirements and all required items are received by Us by 2:30pm, Pacific Time, Monday through Friday (excluding legal holidays or in cases where required data is not available to Us to complete Your order), We will express ship Your completed vehicle registration certificate to the address entered by You on the "Ownership Info" section of this Website. We are neither responsible for any delays due to courier service issues nor responsible for any lost or damaged items being shipped through the courier service. We reserve the right to choose the courier service to be used.
Additional Fees/Late Penalties
You agree that delays in providing any items requested by Us may result in additional fees and/or penalties assessed by the "DMV". The cost of the registration renewal for the vehicle presented herein is valid for the date that We process this request. We are not responsible for any additional fees and/or penalties assessed by the "DMV" after the date in which this registration renewal request is processed.
